EFVD is a competitive virtual drifting organization built around organized events, clean battles, driver preparation and community respect.
Join Discord and select Application to apply. Once staff approves your application, open My EFVD to register for events.
You do not need to be licensed to discover EFVD or apply. Licensed status is reviewed later based on event history and driver standards.

Can Anyone Join?
EFVD welcomes drivers ready for judged qualifying, controlled lead/chase runs and organized events. Competition history, results, footage and social links are optional details that help staff review your application.

What application approval means
You can register for events in My EFVD once your application is approved. Each event entry still needs staff approval, an approved car and any required payment; a place is not guaranteed.

Approved non-licensed drivers can register for events as Wild Cards. With consistent event history, they may later be considered for an EFVD License.

What You Need to Compete
A good first event starts before event week. Your simulator, car files, connection and schedule should be ready before the live event begins.

| Microsoft Windows | A Windows 10 or 11 PC is required for the supported EFVD Launcher competition setup. |
| Steam account | Provide your Steam profile or SteamID64 in your application or My EFVD, then use that account to race. Linking Steam through Discord Connections is not required. |
| Discord | Required for applications, announcements, briefings and event communication. After approval, My EFVD shows your next step. Use Contact Staff for private help. |
| Approved car | Must follow EFVD technical rules, physics standards, livery rules and file structure. |
| Wheel setup | Drivers must compete with a wheel setup. Staff may request proof at any time. |
| Official track | Shared during event week. Drivers must install it and confirm they can access the competition server without issue. |
| Stable hardware | PC, internet, audio, wheel and pedals should be tested before event day. |
| Time availability | Be available from the 9:30 AM Eastern driver briefing. Qualifying starts at 10:00 AM. If you advance, Top 32 briefing starts 90 minutes after qualifying ends, and battles start 30 minutes after that briefing (120 minutes after qualifying ends). The start time may vary; Event Ops announces the exact times when all qualifying ends. Check My EFVD and the Competition Guide, and stay available for staff calls. |

Use the Application Button
Join Discord, select Application and submit your driver application for staff review.

Open My EFVD and Register
Approval creates your profile. Use Enter This Round in your approval message or My EFVD when entry opens. Optional profile edits can wait.

Check Your Entry
No action needed while Event Ops reviews your request. Your decision message explains what to do next; you can also check My EFVD.

Car Inspection & Payment
Once your entry is accepted, choose an approved saved car or use Add My Car in your acceptance message. Inspectors send any required corrections directly to you. Use only the payment action offered in My EFVD: it shows the applicable event fee or split-pass coverage and terms. An existing payment never needs to be paid again.

Launcher Checks
First time on this gaming PC? Use Set Up Launcher in Discord to install and connect it. Afterwards, open EFVD Launcher from Windows. Follow its main action to prepare the event files, check your wheel and join.

Battle
Top 32 drivers run tandem battles if they advance.
When you join the competition server, practice is allowed during the staff-authorized practice window. There is no fixed or guaranteed duration, and event staff may close practice at any time. Once staff closes practice, stop immediately and follow instructions to clear the track. Do not return to the track to practice unless staff reopens practice. Unauthorized practice can lead to disqualification (DQ). See Competition Guide CG-04.

How to Earn a License
EFVD licenses are reviewed using more than results. Staff considers driving quality, reliability, preparation, communication and conduct.
Be reliable
Arrive on time, attend briefing, stay available when called and communicate early if plans change.
Arrive ready
Read the rules, submit clean files, test your setup and fix technical issues quickly.
Drive with control
Focus on line, angle, proximity, chase discipline, decision-making and clean battles.
Handle calls properly
Accept judge decisions live. After the event, request a Judging Clarification privately if you need an explanation.
Handle issues correctly
Avoid public arguments, sponsor attacks and harassment. Use Contact Staff to raise concerns privately.
Reduce event issues
Prepared drivers help staff keep registration, tech review, staging and live competition on schedule.

Common New Driver Mistakes
Most first-event problems are preventable. Use this section to avoid mistakes that can affect eligibility, event flow or future selection.
