What EFVD Is
EFVD is a competitive virtual drift series on Assetto Corsa with organized events, judged runs, tandem battles and community entry through Discord.
EFVD is community-focused and looks for respectful, prepared drivers who want to develop and compete together. Advancement, results and prizes are based on performance under the published competition criteria, not random draw or chance-based prize allocation.
Assetto Corsa
EFVD competition is run through Assetto Corsa and event-specific content.
Qualifying and battles
Drivers qualify, advance and compete in tandem battle formats.
Discord first
Join through Discord for announcements and use the Application button to apply. After approval, round registrations happen in My EFVD; private help goes through Contact Staff.

Event Participation
Check Discord for event announcements and My EFVD for your entry status. Use Contact Staff if you need help.

| What operating system do I need? | Microsoft Windows 10 or 11 for the supported EFVD Launcher competition setup. |
| Do I need to connect Steam to Discord? | No. Provide your Steam profile or SteamID64 in your application or My EFVD, then race using that Steam account. |
| Can underage drivers apply? | Yes, but EFVD may request parent or guardian consent before participation. |
| Where do I register? | Approved drivers register for each round in My EFVD when registration opens. Join the official Discord first; use Contact Staff there if you need help. |
| What happens after selection? | Complete tech, install content, attend briefing and follow event instructions. |
| Can I practice when I join the competition server? | Yes, during the staff-authorized practice window. There is no fixed or guaranteed duration, and event staff may close practice at any time. |
| Can I keep practicing or return to the track after practice closes? | No. Stop practicing immediately and follow staff instructions to clear the track. Do not return to the track to practice unless staff reopens practice. Joining or rejoining the server does not reopen practice. Practicing outside staff-authorized practice time can lead to disqualification (DQ). |
| What timezone are events in? | Driver briefing is at 9:30 AM and qualifying at 10:00 AM Eastern Time (America/Toronto), including daylight saving time. Top 32 briefing starts 90 minutes after qualifying ends; battles start 30 minutes after that briefing (120 minutes after qualifying ends). Battle start time may vary; Event Ops confirms the exact times in Discord after the full qualifying session ends. Discord timestamps show your local time. |
| What if I miss briefing? | Show up for briefing. Staff may refuse late drivers, but if you are late or unsure, load in when your group is active and wait for staff direction. |
| Can I leave after elimination? | Yes, eliminated drivers may leave unless staff asks them to remain. First, second and third place must stay for the podium ceremony unless staff approves otherwise. |
| Can I bring a spotter or media person? | Drivers may request spectator, spotter or media server access through Contact Staff in Discord, but access is not guaranteed. |
| Can I use private voice chat? | Yes. Drivers may use private comms with a spotter or teammates as long as they stay ready for staging and live calls. |
| Can I stream my POV? | Yes, if it does not disrupt event flow, leak restricted content or conflict with staff instructions. |
| Do I need a license? | No for discovery and applications. Licensed status is earned later. |

Cars and Technical Rules
Cars must pass EFVD technical requirements before they can be used in competition.

| Can I use any car? | No. Cars must meet eligibility, visual, file, physics and optimization rules. |
| Are controllers or keyboard allowed? | No. EFVD competition requires a wheel setup, and staff may request proof at any time. |
| What happens if event files are leaked? | Leaking, uploading, repacking or redistributing private cars, tracks or event assets can lead to a ban. |

Qualifying and Battles
Qualifying and battles are the core EFVD competition format.

| How is qualifying order set? | Staff arranges groups and run order for event flow and show quality. Drivers must follow the posted order unless staff says otherwise. |
| How is the bracket built? | Standard events target Top 32 when possible. The official bracket is built from qualifying rank and shared through Discord or the event document. |
| How do battles work? | Drivers lead once and chase once in tandem matchups. |
| What do judges evaluate? | Line, angle, proximity, control, corrections, contact and overall advantage. |
| How is a battle won? | Judges vote after both runs. Majority vote wins, or OMT may be called. |

Restarts, DNF and DQ
Restarts, DNF and DQ decisions are controlled by judges and staff during live event flow.

| What is a DNF? | A run that is not completed, not chasable or loses enough judged value. |
| What can cause DQ? | Unsafe conduct, clear procedure violations or serious rule issues. |
| What should drivers do if unsure? | Complete the run and follow staff instructions. After the event, request a private Judging Clarification. It does not reopen or change the result. |

Licenses and Progression
A license is an earned, staff-reviewed status; it is not granted simply for joining.
Awaiting application review
A driver whose first EFVD application has been submitted and is awaiting a staff decision.
Approved non-licensed driver
A non-licensed driver whose EFVD application is approved and who may submit a separate registration for an individual round.
Reviewed driver
A driver with EFVD-reviewed competition status.

Money, Payouts and Sponsors

| How much does it cost? | The Licensed Driver split pass is $40 CAD for three events. Wild Card registration is $15 CAD per event. |
| What does the Licensed Driver pass include? | Registration for all three events in the split, including transaction fees. Licensed Drivers receive registration priority and championship eligibility. One free official car inspection is included per event, with the same correction and revision-fee process as Wild Cards. |
| Can I buy an EFVD license? | No. EFVD awards licenses based on performance, conduct, preparation and event fit. Selected Licensed Drivers then activate their place with a split pass. |
| Can Wild Cards win money? | Yes. Event podium prizes are $50 CAD for first, $40 CAD for second and $30 CAD for third. Wild Cards are not eligible for Licensed Driver championship prizes. |
| Does payment guarantee a Top 32 position? | No. Qualification and advancement depend on competition performance and rules. Payment does not influence selection, technical decisions or judging. |
| What happens if my car fails inspection? | The car is not approved to compete. Follow the inspector's correction instructions; the inspector decides whether a $5 CAD resubmission fee is required or waived. Paid tech fees are non-refundable by default; exceptions require Event Ops approval. Wild Cards pay registration after selection and initial car acceptance. |
| Can I receive a refund? | Registration is fully refundable before the published withdrawal deadline. Late withdrawals and no-shows are not refundable, and a missed round does not create a partial pass refund. If EFVD cancels or reschedules an event, you can choose a transfer or a proportional refund. See the Refund and Withdrawal Guide for all terms. |
